Welcome to Numa Physical Therapy

Hi, I’m Dr. Cassidy Hing, PT, DPT.

Ever since high school, I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist. It wasn't just a career choice; it was a visceral instinct that this was my calling. Navigating the rigorous demands of academia required deep focus and persistence, but every step of the way slowly affirmed that I was exactly where I was meant to be.

That dedication led me to the University of Southern California, where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. While my education grounded me in world-class clinical science, my years in traditional settings revealed a deeper truth: healthcare is moving too fast, and patients—particularly women—are being left behind.

Over the years, my dedication to women’s health grew from a quiet realization into an absolute mission. The reality is that women’s healthcare has historically been under-researched, underserved, and far too often, clinically minimized. I constantly see women suppressing or ignoring disruptive symptoms because they've been dismissed by providers, or because they are simply too busy taking care of everything else to pause for themselves.

I am here to change that narrative. Your discomfort is not a footnote.

Clinically, I am profoundly inspired by women's physiology—it is beautifully complex, deep, and ever-changing. From a biomechanical perspective, I look at the body as an intricate system where structural efficiency, movement patterns, and breathing mechanics all interconnect. But true healing requires looking beyond just the physical puzzle; it demands a biopsychosocial approach that honors how your lifestyle, stress, history, and environment impact your physical well-being. Because no two lifespans or bodies are identical, you deserve a therapist who doesn't treat you like a generic protocol, but who respects both the biomechanical complexity and the deeply human nature of who you are.

The Freedom of Patient-Centered Care

To truly honor the complexity of your body, I knew I needed to look beyond the boundaries of standard clinical settings. Numa is entirely cash-based for a very intentional reason: to completely eliminate the restrictive boundaries and red tape of insurance companies. This freedom allows us to spend unhurried, dedicated time finding the exact answers and customized solutions you actually want and need.

Currently, Numa operates as a mobile practice, bringing premium care directly to your living room within a 30-mile radius of West Covina.

There is an intentional magic to entering your home. A traditional doctor’s office can unintentionally carry an underlying pressure of performance—a feeling that you have to meet someone else's expectations. In your own home, you can drop the armor. You can feel safe, comfortable, and entirely like your genuine self.

The Meaning Behind "Numa"

The name Numa is a play on the Greek word pneuma, which translates to breath, life, or spirit.

Biomechanically, I believe breath is the absolute foundation of our core and structural stability. But on a deeper level, breath is what gives us life. My approach to "holistic" care goes beyond standard biomechanics; it honors you physically, psychologically, and spiritually. Sometimes, the physical limitations we experience hit on things much deeper than our conscious understanding.

Whether we meet in your home today, or virtually online, my guiding vision remains the same: I want you to feel deeply known, truly seen, and completely worth investing in.

Let's begin.
